Bulgogi is a popular Korean dish that is loved by many people around the world. Bulgogi is driven from two Korean words: Bul means fire and Gogi means fire in Korean terms. So a direct meaning of Bulgogi is fire meat. Although bulgogi sauce can be made spicy and hot, fire is a way of cooking, as it is usually cooked over an open fire.
